On April 24, 2020 we began our political screening for the 2020 General through our State Office in Durham. Since all our members throughout the State of North Carolina cannot be present our Screening Board met evaluated candidates and discussed areas concerning law enforcement and how their candidacy can best affect law enforcement in a positive manner. In the selection process we have chosen to endorse the following candidate for their respective race.
NC 1st District – Sandy Smith
Sandy has the Integrity, Experience and leadership that clearly defines the best choice for this Congressional District. Her law enforcement outreach and issues important to law enforcement and their families set her aside from the incumbent G.K. Butterfield. Building trust with those who put their lives on the line everyday is a way to say I care. Our Choice is clear. Its time to elect Sandy Smith who is not beholden to special interests.
