Bishop E.W. Jackson Endorses Sandy Smith for the Second Congressional District of North Carolina

It is my pleasure and honor to endorse Sandy Smith for Congress to represent the Second District of North Carolina.

I have often said that if you get the life issue right, you are far more likely to be right on other issues and to be reliable in holding fast to your conservative convictions. That is not only my opinion. It has been documented in several studies. Sandy Smith is right on the issue of life and believes as I do that life begins at conception. When she is sent to Congress, she will fight to protect and defend the right of unborn children to live and fulfill their God-given destiny.

She will defend the rights endowed by our Creator and secured by the Constitution. Sandy believes that the Constitution means exactly what it says. She will not allow laws and policies which suppress freedom of religion and freedom of speech under the guise of sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other excuse for trampling the rights of those she represents. She does not support vaccine mandates which violate individual liberty and force Americans to act against personal and religious conscience.

Sandy is a proud gun owner with a North Carolina concealed carry permit and will never allow “the right of the people to keep and bear arms” to be “infringed” by politicians and bureaucrats who think they know better than the Constitution and our Founders. With the riots and looting we have seen over the last year and the movement to defund and dismantle the police, it is more clear than ever that we the people are the last line of defense against crime and tyranny. Sandy supports our men and women in blue against the reckless anti-police rhetoric and policies which have caused violent crime to reach the highest levels in sixty years.

Sandy believes that parents should be the ultimate decision makers when it comes to their child’s education, not the government. We all heard the Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate declare that he would not allow parents to tell teachers what to teach their children. Sandy supports parental choice in what their children are taught and the school their children attend. She wants to end the government monopoly on education and give every child the opportunity for a quality education, no matter their zip code or their family’s income.

Sandy is an entrepreneur, a small business executive, and a farmer. She is a proud military mom who respects and honors our armed forces and our veterans. The Second District of North Carolina could not be better served than to send Sandy Smith to Congress.
